How the color change works

Mood plastic contains a temperature-sensitive pigment. Pour in an ice cold drink and the cup turns from its room temperature color to its cold color; leave it to warm and it turns back. Pencils, erasers and stress balls use the same idea, but react to the warmth of a hand.

Reading the color names

Mood colors are named for both states: Frosted to Purple is frosted at room temperature and purple when cold, Yellow to Orange starts yellow and turns orange. Rainbow Confetti cups have colored confetti in the plastic, and the pattern is different on every cup.

Stadium cups: sides, wrap and lids

On the Mood stadium cups the price includes a two-sided or a wrap imprint, assorted colors cost nothing extra, and lids are optional: a standard lid with straw or a coin slot lid, priced per piece on each cup page. Many stadium cups are made in the USA from 30% recycled polypropylene.
